Hi, my name is Yevgen, and I’m the author of Complexity Navigator. I believe that the ability to recognize and master complex challenges is the foremost skill required to survive and thrive in the 21st century. As a professional systems architect, I work daily with complex systems—technical, social, and business alike. My goal is to develop accessible approaches that help people navigate these challenges effectively.
I hope you find valuable insights in my blog.
It would be a pleasure if my services could assist you or your organization in navigating the complexities of today’s world.
I also organize IT Meetups in Bruchsal. If you’re interested in attending an event, hosting one, or giving a talk, feel free to contact me.
In addition, I regularly give talks at conferences, meetups, and on podcasts. My topics include sociotechnical systems and the role of AI in reshaping software engineering. If you’d like to have me speak at your event, you can find my portfolio of talks here.
Sociotechnical Engineering Workshop
In software projects, individuals and technical artifacts influence each other, forming complex sociotechnical systems that require a holistic approach. Despite their complexity, sociotechnical systems can be addressed in much the same way as technical systems—through requirements gathering, design, troubleshooting, and testing.
Sociotechnical Engineering reinterprets classical systems engineering principles for the realm of sociotechnical systems.
Sociotechnical systems cannot be deterministically designed because they are affected by multiple sources of uncertainty; they evolve over time and are inhabited by human beings. Nevertheless, we can shape the conditions and context under which these systems should evolve to meet our needs.
Sociotechnical engineering is a holistic approach to your software projects. It addresses your organization and the technical artifacts it creates as an integrated sociotechnical system.
📚In this workshop, you will learn:
• What Sociotechnical Engineering is and how it can benefit your organization.
• How to elicit sociotechnical requirements for your organization.
• How to design your project based on sociotechnical requirements.
• How to apply design patterns from technical systems to sociotechnical systems.
• How to troubleshoot sociotechnical challenges in your organization.
If you'd like more information about the workshop's content, please don't hesitate to contact me. You can also explore my blog to gain a deeper understanding of socio-technical engineering before attending the workshop.
👥 Who should attend this workshop?
This workshop is suitable for anyone involved in a software project or working within an organization that develops software.
💸 Pricing
What makes this workshop unique is its pricing policy. You decide what to pay—no kidding. Only you can assess the value this Workshop provides to you. Not me. So, you decide what and if you want to pay me.
Consulting
With over a decade of experience in complex, regulated, and multidisciplinary software projects, I offer a focused set of services tailored to organizations navigating digital transformation, system complexity, or stakeholder-heavy environments.
💡 Systems Architecture
I design scalable, maintainable, and robust software systems that serve real business goals. From distributed cloud applications to embedded systems, I bring a deep understanding of both technical layers and domain complexity. My architecture work is always grounded in real-world constraints—whether regulatory, operational, or organizational.
🔧 Technical Project Leadership
I provide hands-on technical leadership to guide teams through uncertainty, complexity, and tight delivery schedules. I help align architecture, development, and business stakeholders—ensuring teams stay focused, productive, and clear on their direction. My leadership style is calm, structured, and collaboration-driven.
📋 Business Analysis & Requirements Engineering
I turn ambiguity into clarity. Whether you’re dealing with legacy systems, multi-stakeholder environments, or early-stage ideas, I translate domain knowledge into precise, actionable requirements. I’m fluent in UML, BPMN, and the stakeholder politics that often matter just as much.
🎯 Product Ownership
